چکیده

Wheat (Triticum aestivum) is a globally significant crop and staple food for millions of people. Weed infestation one the major constraints affecting wheat productivity worldwide. The purpose this study was to assess efficiency Carfentrazone ethyl 5% + Clodinafop propargyl 15% DF as post-emergence herbicide against predominant weeds in crops. constraint productivity. conducted using Randomized Block Design with three replications total 11 treatments. treatments were applied foliar spray at different doses. control evaluated 30, 45, 60 days after application.
results showed that highest weed observed weed-free plot, followed by treatment dose 800 g/ha. This provided species such Phalaris minor, Avena ludoviciana, Chenopodium album. varying degrees efficiency, some performing better than others.
These findings highlight importance management increasing production. judicious use herbicides, DF, can effectively contribute higher yields. However, further research field trials are necessary optimize application determine its long-term effects on Overall, emphasizes need effective strategies enhance meet demands growing population.

Comparative Efficacy of Different Herbicides for Weed Management and Yield Attributes in Wheat

Weed competes with crops for water, nutrients and light so weed infestation is one of the major threats to crop. Present investigation was aimed to asses the comparative efficacy of different herbicides for weed management in wheat crop under agro-climatic conditions of Pakistan. This experiment was laid out in a randomized complete block design (RCBD) design with five replications. Different h...

Effect of Growth Stage on the Efficacy of Postemergence Herbicides on Four Weed Species of Direct-Seeded Rice

The efficacy of bispyribac-sodium, fenoxaprop + ethoxysulfuron, and penoxsulam + cyhalofop was evaluated against barnyardgrass, Chinese sprangletop, junglerice, and southern crabgrass when applied at four-, six-, and eight-leaf stages. When applied at the four-leaf stage, bispyribac-sodium provided greater than 97% control of barnyardgrass, junglerice, and southern crabgrass; however, it was sl...

Microbial Weed Control and Microbial Herbicides

Microbial weed control represents an innovative means to manage troublesome weeds and utilize the naturally occurring biological herbicides produced by soil microorganisms. These compounds kill or hinder the growth of weeds so that beneficial plant species can gain a competitive advantage. The vast diversity of microorganisms in our environment is largely untapped, and the potential discovery a...

Effect of sulfonylurea herbicides residues on growth and yield of sunflower in rotation with wheat

To evaluate the effect of residue of sulfonylurea herbicides and  wheat residues on the growth and yield of sunflower, a split factorial experiment was conducted based on a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with four replications at the College of Agriculture, Shiraz University, Shiraz, Iran. The treatments included with and without wheat residues from the tested farm as the main plots, a...

Effect of tillage systems on weed infestation of durum wheat

Weed infestation of durum wheat was determined in the systems of conventional tillage(CT), reduced tillage (RT) and herbicide tillage (HT). Cultivations measures performed after theharvest of the previous crop included shallow ploughing (at a depth of 10-12 cm) and pre-winterploughing (25-30 cm) in the CT system; only field cultivation (10-15 cm) in the RT system; andspraying with glyphosate (R...
